When we first started publishing Compete Magazine™ in 2007 many people thought that “gay” and “sports” were not compatible. In fact, except for Outsports.com, very little attention was paid to gay sports. After three and half years in print, we feel we have helped to change this.
Compete continues to break ground as the only gay sports magazine. Due to the overwhelming response of our readers we have recently expanded our circulation and, drum roll please, now publish Compete 12 times per year.
With our expansion comes another announcement — very soon Compete will be available nationwide at a big-box bookstore near you.
Have you ever wanted to listen to your favorite sports magazine? Now you can with Compete Radio™. Every Friday (with replays on Monday) you can listen to the Compete staff online at qnation.fm. This isn’t your ordinary sports show. Listen in to find out why! Podcasts of our radio show are also available online on this site by clicking here.
CompeteNetwork.com is our electronic front door. Keep up with current sports news via our regularly updated sports news feed, listen to the latest episode of Compete Radio, or watch our radio team in action on Compete TV™ (a video recording of our fun radio show). If you don’t have time to read the latest sports news be sure to click on Compete Time Out™ and watch our Monday-Friday sports minute recorded right here at our very own Compete Radio/Compete TV studio.
And, before you leave our website be sure to join our social network community. By joining you will automatically be entered to win some great prizes! Find the details online at CompeteNetwork.com.
As we continue to grow, remember “We Are Gay Sports” (and that includes you!).
PS: Speaking of Outsports.com, congratulations to Jim Buzinski and Cyd Zeigler for their recent induction into the new National Gay Flag Football League Hall of Fame.
