First organized by and named for famed interior designer Steve Chase, these galas are a prime highlight of the desert community's social season! Honorees, award presenters, and entertainers in the past years have included: Carol Channing, Ann Margret, Tom Hanks, Betty Ford, Diahann Carrol, Sen. Ted Kennedy, Patti LaBelle, Betty White, Shirley MacLaine, Barry Manilow, Liza Minnelli, Debbie Reynolds and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
