Buchika's Ski & Bike - Thank you Cannondale, this Bike is AMAZING! Todd & Dave, the owners of Buchika’s in Salem, NH in part with Cannondale donated a Cannondale Carbon Synapse road bike for me to ride. If they didn’t do this amazing thing for me, I would have no bike for the ride and 545 miles is a looooong walk! Buchika’s also gave team SHF a great deal on many of the items we will need to make it through the journey such as spare bike tubes, Thule roof rack, bike shorts and tops, bike pump, helmets, GoPro camera & accessories, as well as kryptonite locks and cables.

Looks like Jane is Getting a Little Brother! In addition to that, the SHF Team is thankful to our new friend Berto Arroyo from PRIME Toyota in Saco, Maine. He sold me the 2011 Scion xB that my teammates and I are driving across the country and donated the trailer hitch and bike rack to help us bring our 4 bikes along for the trip. Berto’s father passed away of AIDS not too long ago and for all the help he gave us, we are dedicating the ride as a team to his father Heribeto Arroyo.

SHF gets ready for AIDS/LifeCycle 10 with FreeStyle Wraps! I had my good friend Matt who owns a car wrapping company, called FreeStyle Wraps, include a dedication for Berto’s father on the back window of the Scion xB when he wrapped my car for the ride.

I feel blessed to have had so many people come together to make this happen and I know the experience is going to be amazing for all of us!
