The International Gay Rodeo Association (IGRA) is excited to announce the 25th Anniversary of the World Gay Rodeo Finals to be held in Fort Worth Texas October 7- 9, 2011. With Bud Light as the presenting sponsor, this weekend event is more than just a rodeo; it’s about courage, hearts and smiles. It continues to be a one-of-a-kind combination of culture, tradition, and Western heritage embracing the GLBT community and beyond.
Building on 25 years of IGRA events, the 2011 World Gay Rodeo Finals brings together contestants from all across North America. “The Best of the Best” will work all season to garner one of the top 20 spots in order to compete in this two go-round event which will be held at the W. R. Watt Arena in Fort Worth.
The 25TH Anniversary World Gay Rodeo Finals weekend will encompass rodeo performances, dancing, and unique daily shopping on the midway. The vendor lineup will include standard western apparel , home décor, and access to GLBT groups such as service providers, socialvgroups, and opportunities to connect and build community.
Nestled in the western heritage of Fort Worth, the World Gay Rodeo Finals provides a unique travel experience. Guests will be treated to a daily cattle drive, true western dining opportunities, and multiple GLBT activities. The Crowne Plaza Fort Worth South will serve as the host hotel for the weekend.
