I don't watch many reality shows, but one seems to have shown good taste.  One of Compete's favorites, Gareth Thomas has joined the cast of the U.K.'s Celebrity Big Brother.  According to After Elton:  ... none other than out rugby star Gareth Thomas has signed on to participate along with Hollywood burnout Michael Madsen and a bunch of British people we've never actually heard of... but, honestly, sound none too promising. I love how one of the celebrity contestants is described by London's Daily Mail: "cocaine-shame X Factor contestant Frankie Cocozza." Are there cameras in the Big Brother bathroom? If he disappears in there I guess we'll know what he's doing.

Sounds like on odd career move for Thomas, but any excuse to see more of him is welcome.

In other Gareth Thomas news, that biopic that Mickey Rourke is writing and plans to star in appears to be still on track as of late November.


The 59-year-old actor playing a 37-year-old rugby star athlete seems like a stretch. If only he'd step back, just produce this project and bring in someone else to star. Jason Statham for instance would be a much better fit.
