BLOGS Scott Norton bowls his way into LGBT history on ESPN
scott-norton-thmbAll of us at Compete are delighted at not only the continued success of Scott Norton as an openly gay professional bowler we have featured in our pages. He's now made history through ESPN.  According to AfterElton:

Aw, yeah. 2013 might already be a revolutionary year, especially for sports fans.

Out bowler Scott Norton, the son of Hall of Fame bowler Virginia Norton, made a name for himself with a major 2011 PBA victory, but with his recent win at the 2012 PBA Chameleon Bowling Championship, he truly established himself as a force to be reckoned with on the circuit. He also established himself as a gay athlete who kisses his husband when he wins things!

In this clip, Norton and husband Craig Woodward share a kiss -- which may be the first gay kiss ever broadcast on ESPN -- after Norton snags victory. Apparently the event's announcers repeatedly referred to the couple as married throughout the telecast. Holler!
